He was predeceased by: his father Allan F. Vinton Sr.; his wife Dorothy "Pud" Rosecrans; and his daughter-in-law Michele Vinton. He is survived by: his sister Doris Nitecki of Chicago; his children, Paul Vinton (Cathy), John Vinton of Champaign, Ann Jumonville (Jim) of Elburn, Ruth Miller (Mike) of Champaign and Jane Vinton of Champaign; his grandchildren, Monica Ritz (Stefan), Anna Vinton (August Muñoz), Dean, Elena Vinton, Blaine, Connor, Lucie Jumonville and Emily Miller; and his great grandchildren, Kylie, Ella, Rosalie and Everlie Ritz.
