He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Lanter and Viola Lanter (Elkins); and his wife Helen Jones of Virginia. He is survived by: his daughters, Jeanitta Shoraga (Mark) of Monticello and Annitta Voorhees of Decatur; his grandchildren, Jessica Seitz-Koch (Marcus), Joshua Voorhees (Nichole), Caleb Voorhees, Cassidy Voorhees (Justin Whitney) and Samantha Voorhees (Sam Maple); and his great grandchildren, Mercedes, Donavan, Aiden, Scott, Noah, Oscar, Helen and Jason. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
