He was predeceased by: his son Jonathan Towart Crain; his parents, Robert M. Crain and Beata Barbara Crain (Sebald); his parents-in-law, Albert and Alice Gross; his brother John Crain; his cousin Pam Meng; and his daughter-in-law Danielle LaChance.
He is survived by: his wife Leila Anne Gross; his children, Jennifer Martin (Brian) of Collinsville, Allison Austin of Centralia and Matthew Crain of Springfield, Illinois; his grandchildren, Chris Crain (Carlie Willis), Will Martin, Ellie Martin, Kate Martin and Kalen King; his great grandchildren, Marah Coles and Ivy Crain; his sister Barbara Crain; his siblings-in-law, Richard Gross and Sheila Crain; his nephew Joshua; and his niece Sarah Crain. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews and many close friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (201 S Pleasant Ave, Centralia, IL 62801). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in Bill's honor to the Centralia Cultural Society or Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia and will be accepted by the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street in Centralia, IL 62801 (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to Bill's Family.
