He was predeceased by: his parents, Flossie Patten (Bonham) and John Patten; and his siblings, Ernest Patten, Betty Wastlick, Elmer Patten, Doyle Patten and Floyd Patten.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Patten; his children, Cheryl Parker, Laurie Martin (John Martin), Walter "Duke" Patten Jr. (Tina Patten) and Jerry Patten (Bobbi Patten); his grandchildren, Michael Thomas, Joshua Patten, Jeremy Patten, Curtis Martin, John Martin, Justin Patten, Cassandra Scott, Trevor Patten and Alana Patten; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Jolee, Adalynn, Ryder, Emily, Jordan, Hayden, Graceigh, Chase, Creed, Isabelle, Khail, Tobias, David, Noah, Esther, Sarai, Baylee, Emma, Layton, Aleighanna, Carter, Aubriella, Paizlynn, McKenna and Tayleigh; his great great grandchild Emberlynn; and his siblings, Mary Hyre and Robert Patten (Jean Patten). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Memorials may be made in Walter's honor to the Family of Walter Patten and will be accepted for the family at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
