It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Viva McLean of Centralia, Illinois, born in Pinckneyville, Illinois, who passed away on December 8, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Dempsay and Alpha Dempsay (Reidelberger); her husband Bruce McLean; her daughter Catherine Jean Byrd; and her brothers, Elmer D. Dempsay and Clyde Dempsay.
She is survived by: her sons, Dennis McLean (Becky) of Centralia, IL and Mike McLean of Los Angeles, CA; her son-in-law David Byrd of Fulton, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Heather Byrd Honeycutt of Atlanta, GA, Mandy Byrd of Murray, KY, Trista Kozuszek (Brandon) of Irvington, IL, Ashley McLean (John Lenzini) of Centralia and Sean McLean (Shannon) of Troy, IL; her great grandchildren, Annabelle Lenzini of Centralia, Braelyn Kozuszek of Irvington, Everett McLean of Troy and Sullivan McLean of Troy; and her brothers, Asa D. Dempsay, Paul O. Dempsay, Ralph C. Dempsay and Doug Dempsay. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
