He was predeceased by: his parents, Wynona Beard and Walter Beard Jr.; and his sister Pamela Vaughn. He is survived by: his brothers, Tim Meskil (Shelly) and Boyd Meskil (Karla); his niece MiRanda Lindahl (Quinton); his siblings-in-law, Michele Hook (Ronnie) and Bob Vaughn (Michelle); and his nieces and nephews, David Meskil (Shaina), Jacob Meskil, Brandon Meskil, Matthew Stebbins, Erika Meskil and Lyndsey Meskil.
