He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Brookman and Virginia "Tiny" Brookman (Mathus); and his sister Cheryl Blackman. He is survived by: his wife Michele Brookman of Centralia; his children, Amanda Brookman-Simpson (Bob), Christopher Brookman (Kelly) of Booneville, Nicholas Brookman (Jenny Arning) of Newburgh, Indiana, Taylor Hays (Hampton Hays) of St. Louis and Kayla Morgan of Mt. Vernon; his grandchildren, Mabry, Rowen, Rudy Brookman, Elijah Hays, Danielle Simpson-Morris and Walker Simpson; his brothers, Terry Brookman (Sandy) of Troy and Gary Brookman (Lana) of Ina; his father-in-law Robert Tiemann (Janice) of Irvington; his siblings-in-law, Michael Tiemann (Julie) of Woodlawn and Melissa Hoh (Alan) of Irvington; and his former wife Rita Brookman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
