She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank H. Lyman and Minnie Lyman (Meier); her husband Garland L. Merrell; and her siblings, Curly Lyman, Joe Lyman, Fred Lyman and Mary Ann Donoho.
She is survived by: her children, Melanie Trone (Greg) of Centralia, Julie Hepp of Centralia and Doug Merrell (Angie) of Waxahachie, Texas; her grandchildren, Britnie Foltz (Ansen Sterrett), Travis Trone (Erica), Ali Foltz, Bryce Foltz, Jordan Lynch (Rachel), Lexi Hepp, Devin Merrell (Danielle) and Maccoy Merrell; and her sister Rosemary Overton of Moline. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family ask those who are attending to please be mindful of social distancing, wear a mask, and take any health precautions necessary to ensure a healthy environment.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Merrell's honor to the St. Mary School in Centralia, Illinois, St. Mary Catholic Church in Centralia, Illinois, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be received by the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home at 134 South Elm Street in Centralia, Illinois.
