She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Byars and Mary Byars (French); her husbands, Glen Wilson and Wesley John Schnake; her stepdaughter Janice Friedrich of Belleville, Illinois; her siblings, Edgar Byars, Charlie Byars, Wilroy Byars, Doris Pierce and Martha Elizabeth Molenhour; her niece Margie Keith; and her siblings-in-law, Neil Wilson (Imogene) of Bluford, Martha Warren (Wendell), Wilma Wilson and Vivian Byars.
She is survived by: her stepson Larry Schnake (Barbara) of Lafayette, Indiana; her stepgrandchildren, Dena Fields (Ron) of Brookston, Kevin Schnake (Melissa) of Jeanette, Debbie Hilerio (Reubin) of St. Mary's and Randy Friedrich of Belleville, Illinois; her nieces and nephews, Betty Young of Texico, Wanda Lisenby (Jerry) of Bluford, Joyce Henderson (Dewey) of Linter, Rosemary Luttrell (Donnie) of Decatur, Dwight Chambliss (Peggy) of Mt. Vernon, Bill Byars of Bluford, Joanne Wolfe of Granger, Delbert Pierce (Marcia) of Dale and Kaye Buretz of Bluford; and her brother-in-law Carl R. Wilson (Elizabeth) of Texico. She is also survived by seven step-great-grandchildren.
Due to the ongoing precautions surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic, a private graveside funeral service for Mrs. Schnake will be held at Garrison Temple Cemetery.
