Rose Mary Shopinski Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rose Mary Shopinski of Centralia, Illinois, who passed away on February 4, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Rose departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Rose may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Rose leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mike Shopinski and Alma Shopinski (Green); and her brother John Shopinski. She is survived by: her sisters, Gloria Durr (Ron) of Centralia and Linda Hazel of Kentucky; her friends, Pauline Glenn and Missy Knolhoff; and her close friend Ronda Ziffel of Georgia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Macz Funeral Home - Centralia (234 S Elm St, Centralia, IL 62801). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in Rose's honor to Kaskaskia Workshop.
