It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Jensen of Centralia, Illinois, born in Patoka, Illinois, who passed away on September 3, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Jensen and Lucille Jensen (Walker); his brother Warren Jensen; and his son-in-law David Kreke. He is survived by: his wife Louise Jensen of Breese; his children, Julia Langenfeld (Forrest) of Centralia, Pamela Kreke of Breese, J. R and Jeffrey Jensen (Mary Jo) of Fredericktown, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Kathy Langenfeld of St. Louis, Andrew Langenfeld of Orlando, Emily Gnaedinger (Craig) of Pocahontas, Laura Rapini (Vincent) of St. Peters, Matthew Kreke (Cassie) of Breese, Sarah Niemeyer (Brian) of Highland, Jamie Jones (Gary) of Fredericktown, Amber Cresswell (Wintson) of Farmington, Taylor Pyles (Drew) of Milford, Courtney Sikes (Joaby) of Fredericktown, Reed Jensen (Marissa) of Arnold and Ellie Stonecipher (Zach) of Ozark, Missouri. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and one on the way; two sisters-in-law; and several loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Centralia and/or McKendree University Alumni Association and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Jensen Family.
