He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Tate and Dora Tate (DeSelms); his daughter Denva Lee Tate; his brothers, Lawrence Steven Tate and Lester Tate; and his sisters-in-law, Rosemary Tate, Bonnie Tate and Mary Tate.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Tate (Sessions); his sons, Rick (Kelly Tate), Randy (Caroline Tate), Russell (Melissa Tate) and Jason (Heather Tate); his siblings, Lane Ottis Tate, Nancy, Perry Lee Tate, Linda Standley, Betty Tate, Jerry, Judy Tate, Tom, Louise Tate and Lewis Tate; and his sister-in-law Barb Tate. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
