He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Mashburn (Turner) and Joseph "Joe" Mashburn of Central City; his brother Jerry Mashburn; his parents-in-law, James Smith and Iris Smith; and his grandparents, Alex Mashburn, Clara Mashburn, James Turner and Grace Turner (Jody Mashburn).
He is survived by: his former spouse Jody Perkins; his wife Dorris Mashburn of Central City, Illinois; his daughter Amy Green (Richard) of Chicago; his grandchildren, Teone Jones, Tremain Mashburn (Patricia), Malik and Charles Wilson; his daughter Jill Mashburn; his grandson Kolbie Smith of Central City, Illinois; his brother Joseph "Carl" Mashburn (Linda) of Centralia, Illinois; and his aunt Bertha Sloat of Muscatine, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Mashburn's honor to the Residential Hospice of Southern Illinois, American Cancer Society for Lung Cancer Research or the Centralia Shop with a Cop and will be received by the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home at 134 South Elm Street in Centralia, Illinois.
