He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Lewis Ray and Mabel Ray (Freisner); his sister Beverly Tolley; his parents-in-law, Ralph and Lucy Metzger; and his brother-in-law Marty Metzger.
He is survived by: his spouse Docia "Dody" Deadmond; his daughters, Chantal Ray Nation (Kurt) of Dallas, April McCrary (Brad) of Leawood and Heidi Heser (Casey) of Troy, Illinois; his grandchildren, Baylor, Avery, Brody, Ainsley McCrary, Colton and Teegan Heser; his sister Janet Holland (Harvey) of Shattuc; his brother-in-law Tom Betti (Lori) of New Mexico; his nieces, Shelley Koelmel (Rodney) of Shattuc, Tabitha Jentsch (George) of Irvington and Allie Gregory (Austin) of Centralia; his nephew Michael English (Stacy); and also Tuna Hentges of Jefferson City, Missouri..
