He was predeceased by: his parents, John, Sr. Dodson and Lydia Dodson (Copeland); his sister Lilly Rosemary Dodson; and his children, Glenna Atchison, Doug Dodson, Terry Dodson and Roger Dodson.
He is survived by: his wife Suzie Dodson; his sons, Mike Dodson (Linda) of Walnut Hill, IL and Jerry Dodson of Rushville, IL; and his grandchildren, Mike Dodson (Brenda) of Iuka, IL, Valerie Atchison of Centralia, IL, Jared Dodson (Kris) of Williston, FL, Casey Dodson (Katrena) of Centralia, IL, Douglas Dodson of Centralia, IL and Ginger Bahr of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
