He was predeceased by: his wife Frankie; his daughter-in-law Debra Meier; his siblings, Charles Meier (Mary), Leon Thouvenin (Mary) and Ruth Meier; his sister-in-law Lorene Meier; and his nephew Donald R. Meier.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Meier of Patoka, IL, Tracy Meier (Leigh) of Elizabethtown, PA and Mary Etheridge (Mike) of Hoffman, IL; his grandchildren, Chris Meier, Laura Meier, Alex Meier (Grace), Casey Meier, Kara Bach (Curt), Mike Jr. Etheridge (Erin), Michelle Pieron (Brandon) and Justin Etheridge (Shannon); his great grandchildren, Ashton, Brenden, Kamryn Pieron, Gwen, Olivia, Elise, Grace, Luke Etheridge, Aubrey, Maddox, Jaxon Etheridge, Conner Newkirk, Zach Bach and Dominic Newcomb; and his brothers, Ed Meier (Kate), Clarence Meier, Earl Meier (Carolyn) and David Meier.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
