He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ellis Brenton and Muriel Irene Brenton (Lowe); his wife Helen Miller; his brother Phillip J. Fally; and his stepfather Griff Fally.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jim Brenton of Centralia, Eunice Weems (J. C.) of Woodlawn and Hazel Meinhart of Effingham; and his sister-in-law Donna Fally of Mt. Vernon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
