It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Patrick Wheatley of Centralia, Illinois, who passed away on December 12, 2021, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Norman Robert Gunn and Nora Elizabeth Sims; his wife Carol Sue Wheatley; his siblings, Kent Wheatley (Beverly) of Centralia, Reverend Alan Brent Wheatley (Karen) of Nampa, Idaho and Peggy Jean Isaacs of Paramount, California; his stepsons, Gene Allen Whited (Vanessa) of Savannah and Michael Lee Whited (Sara) of Savannah, Tennessee; and his adoptive parents, J. W. Wheatley and Catherine "Trink" Wheatley. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
The family asks those who are attending to please be mindful of social distancing, wear a mask, and take any health precautions necessary to ensure a healthy environment.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Wheatley's honor to The Salvation Army and may be received by the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home at 134 South Elm Street in Centralia, Illinois.
