It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mickey Smith (Centralia, Illinois), who passed away on December 27, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Smith and Iris D. Smith (Jarvis); his stepdaughter Regina "Gina" Bonner Schwartz; his parents-in-law, Daniel Lee and Pat Hatcher; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Mashburn, Terry Hatcher, Dale Hatcher, George Hatcher, Rhonda Hatcher and Loretta Hatcher.
He is survived by: his wife Patty Smith of Centralia; his siblings, Dorris Mashburn of Centralia, Edward Smith (Judy) of Springfield and Richard Smith (Eileen) of Leesburg, Florida; his stepsons, Lance Bonner of Centralia and Chris Sails (Samantha) of Thousand Oaks, California; and his siblings-in-law, David Hatcher of Centralia, Julie Hatcher of Centralia and Melisa Hatcher of Denver, Colorado. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home (235 N Sycamore St, Centralia, IL 62801). The military honors was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Centralia America Legion Post 446. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home (235 N Sycamore St, Centralia, IL 62801).
