Michael R. Barr Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael R. Barr of Centralia, Illinois, born in Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on October 12, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Louis Raymond "Bill" Barr and Martha Jane Barr (Orrison); his brother Rodger Barr; his wife Peggy June Barr (Russell); his daughter Michelle VanDeveer (Tracy) of Centralia; his grandchildren, Blake VanDeveer (Megan), Tyler VanDeveer (Cassie) and Jordan VanDeveer (Kyle Kinley); his great grandchildren, McKenna, Piper, Camryn, Luke and Tessa; and his sisters-in-law, Brenda McGarvey (Kevin) and Sharon Karch. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Barr Family.
