He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence William Martin Buettner and Leona Buettner (Buehne); his sister Beverly Plassman; his father-in-law Harold Estoppey; his brother-in-law Gene Brewer; his nephews, Danny Brewer and Karl Plassman; and his pet Elley.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Buettner of Centralia; his children, Angie Coker (Michael) of Centralia, Michelle Schulte (Justin) of Centralia, Kevin Buettner (Hollie) of Centralia and Greg Buettner of St. Louis, Missouri; his grandchildren, Reagan Schulte, Abbey Coker, Maizey Schulte, Gemma Schulte and Breez Buettner; his siblings, Harold Buettner of Centralia and Shirley Brewer of Centralia; his siblings-in-law, Jeff Estoppey (Leticia) of California, Mike Plassman of Centralia, Sharon Blakey (Don) of Texas and Linda Greer of Missouri; his niece Krystal Huelsmann (Steven) of New Baden; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Noah and Laine; and his mother-in-law Nellis Estoppey of Centralia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
