As Mary departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Mary may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Mary leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Hutson and Joan Hutson (Rhynes); and her spouse Marty Metzger. She is survived by: her daughters, Allie Gregory (Austin) of Centralia and Tabitha Jentsch (George) of Irvington; her granddaughter Madisyn Jentsch; and her sister-in-law Dody Ray of Centralia. She is also survived by many nieces; and several special friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Macz Funeral Home - Centralia (234 S Elm St, Centralia, IL 62801). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in Mary's honor to the Kidney Foundation or to the Irvin Macz Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
