He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Nelms and Cora Nelms (Gray); his brothers, John C., Jerry and Ronald G. Nelms; and his daughter Pamela Ann Nelms.
He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Esther Nelms (Turner); his children, Connie Lou (David Diederich), Louis Richard Jr. (Patricia) and Luis R.; his grandchildren, Avery Anne Watts (Nicholas), Timothy Diederich, Emily Ruth DeWalt (Marc) and Katherine Hester Crone (Kevin); his great grandchildren, Alexis Diederich, Kendall Jaqueline and Kylie Helen Watts; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Nelms, Betty Nelms and Kay Gulley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Louis' honor to Little Grove Cemetery Fund and will be accepted at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
