It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leo Clemons (Centralia, Illinois), who passed away on May 5, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlan Ross and Genieve Byrd; his siblings, Catherine Montgomery, Geneva Lugo and Harlen Collins; his son Malvin Watson; and his aunts and uncles, Thomas Johnson Jr., Elvers Johnson, Clarence Johnson, Lillian Hayes, Armentha Butler and Iola Massie.
He is survived by: his wife Marva Coleman; his children, Paula Johnson, Kenny Ward, Nadine Clemons, Joseph Powell of Peoria, Sherry Smith (James) of Peoria, Tammy Whitaker (Randall) of Metropolis, Michelle Horrell, Stacy Craig, Edward Mims of Marion, Tyler Horrell (Denise), Curtis Clemons of Decatur, Marvin Watson of Madison, Princess Harmon (Delarrian) of Madison and Gary Watson (Marianne); and his siblings, Harvey Collins (Regina), Gale Garrett (Samuel) and Jane Johnson (Curtis). He is also survived by grandchildren; a host of cherished great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in Mr. Clemons honor to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
