He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Jackson and Esmer Pearl Mefford (Peay). He is survived by: his wife Laura Mefford (Freeman); his sister-in-law Marian Corderio of Fortuna, California; his siblings, Bonita Ayers, Ima Chwascinski and Wilbur Mefford (Theresa); and his siblings-in-law, Landon Powers, Sterling Hamilton, Allen Freeman, Ila Murphy, Paul Murphy and Eddie Corderio. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
