He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Abernathy and Myra June Hain (Devor); his brother Danny Sanders; and his grandparents, Harley and Mildred Devor.
He is survived by: his wife Heather Abernathy of Centralia; his daughters, Andrea Abernathy of Centralia and Bobbi Dirickson; his grandchildren, Audrianna of Centralia, Bentley of Centralia and Leo of Centralia; and his brothers, Ed Sanders (Sharon) of Brazil, Gary Abernathy of Brazil and Joey O'Dell (Nicole) of Brazil, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Abernathy Family.
