It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Fortag of Centralia, Illinois, born in Ashley, Illinois, who passed away on December 18, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Fortag and Elsie Fortag (Jansen); his siblings, Ralph Fortag and Mary Claire Etheridge; and his son-in-law Brad Parrish.
He is survived by: his former spouse Shirley George Crane; his daughters, Cynthia Keller (Marc) of West Frankfort and Kelly Fortag Parrish; his son-in-law Bradley Parrish; his wife Janet Collinsworth Fortag; his stepchildren, Paul Jason Booth of Centralia, Davalynn Booth of Centralia and Tammy Brozovich (Jim) of Breese; and his siblings, Ed Fortag (Tillie) of North Carolina, Al Fortag (Mary) of Bloomington and Neice Jane Friedrich of Centralia. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
