He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard West and Dorothy West (Neal); his parents-in-law, Lawrence and Wanda Border; his son Dan Rightnowar; his grandson Brockton Bisching; his niece Julie West; and his sister-in-law Lori West.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Border; his children, Randa Westermann (Eric), Neal West and Dale West (Lark); his grandsons, Cole Rightnowar and Ben West; his daughter-in-law Kelli Rightnowar-Jackson; his brother Jim West; his brother-in-law Will Border (Marilyn); and his friends, Dick and Jodi Gibson. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
Memorials may be made in Joe's honor to the Centralia High School Athletic Department and the Centralia Regional Library District and will be accepted for the family at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
