He was predeceased by: his parents, Clint Don Daugherty and Malinda Kay Clark (Stone); his brother Steve Hails; his grandparents, C. W., Claire Daugherty, Albert and Billie Stone; his uncles, Michael Stone and Albert; and his stepfather Reggie Clark of Centralia.
He is survived by: his wife Tischa Daugherty of Central City; his stepmother Jane Daugherty of Centralia; his children, Caitlin Ellis, Blake Budds of Centralia, Austin Daugherty of Central City and Riley Daugherty of Central City; his granddaughter Raelynn Jones of Centralia; his brothers, Troy Daugherty (Tina) of Iuka, Darren Clark (Tonya) of Coldwater, MI, Tony Ellis of Dallas, Tim Ellis (Mary Katherine) of Georgia, Todd Ellis of Centralia and Tommy Ellis (Brandi Karbowiak); his aunt Patricia Wood (Larry) of Phoenix, Arizona; his father-in-law Mike Ellis (Sharon) of Centralia; his friends, Josh Patten (Karlie Patten) of Centralia and Jerry Patten (Bobbi) of Sandoval; and also, Alicia Hanks, Sheena Claar, Noah Jackson, Braddy Baum, Devin Mashburn and Mason Kopen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Joey Daugherty will be held Friday, September 11, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia, the family ask those attending to please be mindful of social distancing, wear a mask and any health precaution necessary to insure a healthy environment.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Daugherty Family during this difficult time.
