He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Schmidt and Esther Schmidt; and his siblings, Roger and Barbara Estergard of Nixa, Missouri.. He is survived by: his sons, Ryan Schmidt (Meghan) and Tyler Schmidt of Lincoln; his sister Yvonne Alexander of Denver; and his granddaughters, Annika Bowman of North Platte and Lennon Layne Schmidt of Lincoln.
In lieu of flowers, memorials go to Southview Baptist Church for later designation to recovery ministries.
