Jim L. Smith Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 30, 2022, at the age of 83, Jim L. Smith of Centralia, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest E. Smith and Grace Smith (Timmons); his great grandchild Sierra Wilder; his siblings, Judy Hopper and Richard "Turkey" Smith; his brothers-in-law, Darrell and Jerry; and his nephew Tommy Miller.
He is survived by: his former spouse Shirley Smith (Snider); his children, Jimmie Smith (Terri) of Centralia, Dee Dee Peper (Ken) of Nashville, Terri Smith of Centralia and Joy "JoJo" Barnhart of Centralia; his grandchildren, Jami Lane (Jon), Jesse Smith (Jessica), Bailey Vardsveen (John), Quenci Peper and Lexi Peper (Aaron Leggett); his great grandchildren, Josh, Tristan, Max, Avalyn, Jacelynn, Jayden, Jaxyn, Memphis and Holt; his siblings, Delores Miller, Beatrice Owens (Gene), Jack Smith (Barbara), Donnie Smith and Gary Smith (Mary); and his sister-in-law Karen Robbins. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sierra Wilder Memorial Park Fund and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois, 62801, (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Smith Family.
