He is survived by: his wife Claudia Mearns Smith (Held) of Centralia; his sister Judith Sprehe (Gary) of Plano, Texas; his daughter Erin Oellermann (Roy) of Sandoval; his stepchildren, John Mearns of O'Fallon, IL and Caroline Mearns of Centralia; his grandchildren, Aidan Mearns of Centralia and Olivia Rose Oellermann of Sandoval; his niece Gina Sprehe of North Hollywood, California; his nephew Ryan Sprehe (Angelica); and his great-nephew Rylie Sprehe of Coppell, Texas..
