He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendell Scanlan and Ogelby Scanlan. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Scanlan (Self); his children, Jackie Thomas Scanlan of Centralia and Dorothea Woods of North Carolina; and his siblings, Eddie Scanlan of Belleville and Sharon Storck (Kenny) of Okawville. He is also survived by five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
