It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hershel Dwight Jones Jr. of Centralia, Illinois, who passed away on May 16, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hershel "Dwight" Jones, Sr. and Elsie Anna Jones (Torricelli); and his sons, Gregory S. Jones and Anthony G. Jones. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Jones (Orric); his children, Kristina Lorenzini (Tim) and Doug Jones (Michelle); his grandchildren, Bethany Lorenzini, Tyler Lorenzini, Baylea Jones, Kindyl Jones and Tucker Jones; his sister Ann Romero; his nephew Greg Romero (Veronica); his niece Kim Romero; and his great-nephew Sebastian Romero.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and St. Judes Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Jones Family.
