Harold Buettner Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harold Buettner (Centralia, Illinois), who passed away on February 22, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Buettner and Leona Buettner (Buehne); his siblings, Beverly Plassman and Michael Buettner; his brother-in-law Gene Brewer; and his nephews, Karl Plassman and Danny Brewer.
He is survived by: his sister Shirley Brewer; his siblings-in-law, Michael Plassman and Nancy Buettner; his nieces and nephews, Krystal (Steve Huelsmann), Angela Coker (Michael), Michelle Schulte (Justin), Kevin Buettner and Greg Buettner; and also Harold. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home (235 N Sycamore St, Centralia, IL 62801). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Clinton County Humane Society and will be accepted by the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore St. in Centralia, IL 62801 (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Buettner Family. Harold Buettner will be remembered not only for his contributions to his work and community but also for his steadfast devotion to family and friends.
