With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gertrude Loomis (Centralia, Illinois), born in Carlyle, Illinois, who passed away on February 2, 2020 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Robert and Mary Gertrude Spangler; her husband Robert G. Loomis; her siblings, Louis Spangler of Carlyle, Margaret, Marcella Spangler of Carlyle and Mary Ann Johnston (George) of Keyesport; and her brothers-in-law, Jim Loomis (Theresa) of Centralia and Charles Loomis (Alma) of Tyler, Texas..
She is survived by: her son Mike (Viki) of Centralia; and her nephews, Steve Loomis (Margaret) of Waterloo, Bill Johnston (Mary) of Greenville and Richard Loomis (Nancy) of Tyler.
Memorials may be made to the Centralia Humane Society or the Centralia Philharmonic Orchestra and will be accepted for the family at Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
