He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Leon" Powless and Annabelle Powless (Perry); his former wife Loretta "Cookie" Adams; and his sister LaDena Arnold. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Erlinger; his children, Kenneth Powless (Kym Heitkamp), Caroline (David Deutsch), Tiffany Powless (Johnson), Landon Powless of Centralia, Tasha Jackson (Lindsey Townsend) and Lonnie (Rachel Jackson); his grandchildren, David, Mackenzie, Colten, Wyett and Billie; his great grandchildren, Charles and Adaline; and his siblings, David Powless of Rochester, Tom, Indy Tate of Salem and Linda Nunnery of Centralia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Macz Funeral Home - Centralia (234 S Elm St, Centralia, IL 62801). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in Gary's honor to Landon's Educational Fund.
