He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Lyman Creed and Lorraine Creed; his sister Sandra Beguelin (late Henry); his wife Sharon; his children, Dr. Angela Creed (Edward Hengel), Scott Creed and Nicole Creed (Jeff Fleece); and his grandchildren, August, Macie Hengel, John and Nicholas Fleece.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, June 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home (235 N Sycamore St, Centralia, IL 62801).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to two organizations that were close to Gary's heart, St. Judes Children's Hospital and Shriners Hospital and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, 618-532-3523, who is honored to be of service to Gary's Family.
