She was predeceased by: her parents, William Brun and Anna Emma Helena Brun (Krietemeier); her husband John Phillips; her daughter Shirley Bierman; and her stepchildren, Peggy Combs and Willis Phillips.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Mathis (Martha) of Walnut Hill, Betty Helverson of Chatham and Doris Reed (Curtis) of Centralia; and her stepchildren, Dean Phillips (Kathy) of Alabama, Danny Phillips (Leanna) of Centralia, Bonnie Dickinson (David) of Centralia and Terry Pitchford of Centralia. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home (235 N Sycamore St, Centralia, IL 62801). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Frieda's family requests that memorial donations be made to Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
