He was predeceased by: his father Roger Lewis Gruen; his daughter Montana Gruen; and his father-in-law Kenny Meredith. He is survived by: his mother Karen Ann Gruen (Stokes) of Sandoval; his wife Chrystal Meredith of Centralia; his children, Dakota Gruen (Dasani) of Columbia, Blaine Gruen of Centralia, Christine Kniker (Jeremiah) of Centralia, Angela Gruen of Sandoval and Elizabeth Preston (Bryan) of Las Vegas, Nevada; his siblings, Glenn Gruen (Becky) of Centralia and Lori Gruen of Sandoval; his grandchildren, Eli Kniker, Earo Kniker of Centralia, Miles Gruen of Centralia, Holt Kniker of Irvington and Asher Gruen; his mother-in-law Debbie Meredith of Centralia; his siblings-in-law, Nick Meredith (Tracy) of Salem, Andy Meredith of Ashley and Nicole Graham (Roger) of Centralia; and his brothers, Paul "OffRoad" Havrilka (Melissa) and Matt "TinMan" Allen.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rock Church (515 Airport Rd, Centralia, IL 62801-6583). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
