David L. Hanks Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David L. Hanks (Centralia, Illinois), who passed away on September 25, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Hanks and Mary Hanks (Hanna); his former wives, Alice Wilkerson Hanks and Josephine Hanks (Back); his siblings, Scott Hanks and Roberta Carpenter; his grandson Michael White; and his great grandchild Luke Hanks.
He is survived by: his children, David M. Hanks (Olivia), John McConnell (Anita), Alta Monical (Gary), Kathy Owens (Dewayne), Mary Hanks of Sandoval and Barbara Davis of Centralia; and his siblings, Mark Hanks, Carlan Thomas, Joann Logue and Marilyn Blankenship. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
