He was predeceased by: his parents, Amelia Minnie Speidel (Vogt) and Frederick Speidel; his siblings, Elise Louise Speidel, Gene Speidel and Edward Speidel; his father-in-law James Griffith; and his sister-in-law Laurie Dalton.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Kaye Griffith; his children, Jennifer Copple (Cameron), Theodore of St. Jacob, Illinois and Timothy Speidel (Elizabeth) of Fulshear; his grandchildren, Mary and Frederick; his mother-in-law Mary Ellen Griffith; his siblings-in-law, Greg Griffith, James Griffith (Cristy) and Bonnie Griffith (Michael Smith); and his nephew James "Jimmy" Dalton (Christeen Hernandez). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Memorials may be made in Arland's honor to Greenview Christian Church or New Horizon Christian School.
