With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvin Holthaus of Centralia, Illinois, born in Breese, Illinois, who passed away on April 27, 2023 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Alvin Holthaus to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Holthaus and Janina Holthaus (Tyl); and his siblings, Henry Holthaus, Charles Holthaus and Dolores Schneider.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Holthaus of Centralia; his children, Timothy Steven Prodyma of Centralia and Therese Ann Sakowicz (Caz) of Centralia; his grandchildren, Nicole Marie Grantham of Centralia and Zachary Keith Grantham of Jacksonville, FL; his great grandchild Daxton; and his siblings, David Holthaus (Margaret) of Highland, JoAnn Kierkenmeier of Trenton, Walter Holthaus (Bessy) of California and Eddie Holthaus (Donna) of Highland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
