He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Lavens and Louise Lavens (RuoRock); and his brother-in-law Bill Boyd Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Arlene Zibert of Cedar Point; his children, Rich Lavens (Connie) of Milan, Lora Wicks (Robert) of Peru, Suzanne Grosenbach (Scott) of Oglesby and Burton Lavens (Erin) of Oglesby; and his sister Mary Lou Boyd of Grand Ridge. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
