It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Curtis Dawes of Catlin, Illinois, who passed away on September 11, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sisters, Sharon Moews and Luetta Dawes. He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Heller (Michael) of Butte, MT, Dena Smith (Scott) of St. Charles, IL and Tonya Carson of Danville; his sisters, Sandra Heffern and Linda Dawes; his grandchildren, Troy Dawes, Jared Edwards, Garrett Edwards, Branden Smith (Daylin), Connor Smith, Tanner Sawka (Christa), Katelynn Sawka, Allie Sawka and Blake Carson; his great grandchildren, River, Bexley, Patrick, Melita, Ava, Juliet, Madelynn, Jr., Aris, Steve, Jana Berry, Brad and Grace Elliott; and also, Zane and Blake. He is also survived by nieces & nephews; special friends.
It is kindly requested that face masks be worn, and social distancing is practiced by those in attendance of the visitation and or service.
Memorial donations may be given in his name to the Humane Society, Vermilion County Animal Shelter, or Wounded Warrior Project.
