He is survived by: his wife Jerry Ann; his children, James Abernathy (Marianne) of Caseyville, IL, Terry Abernathy Green (Les) of Caseyville, IL, Tim Abernathy (Tony) of Edwardsville, IL and Thomas Abernathy (Rhonda) of Fairview Heights, IL; his grandchildren, Christopher Abernathy, Patrick Green, Maddie Abernathy, Hunter Abernathy, Tyler Abernathy and Spencer Abernathy; his great grandchildren, Serenity, Noah, Charlotte, Elizabeth, Hayden, Patrick, Wrenley, Kyle, Logan, Hunter Jr. and Clara; and his sisters, Patricia Smith and Rita Poser.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kassly Mortuary Chapel (9900 St Clair Ave, Fairview Heights, IL 62208). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Kassly Mortuary, Ltd. (9900 St Clair Ave, Fairview Heights, IL 62208).
