He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul M. Sweitzer, Sr. and Opal Jerdon; his son Paul Sweitzer; and his sisters, Anna, Dorothy and Lucy.
He is survived by: his children, Stacey Welker (Michael), Amanda Downard (Kevin) and Lauren Greenley (Joel); his grandchildren, Brett Miller (Madisyn), Jonathan Miller (Tiffany), Kyle Miller (Alexis), Chris Downard (Chelsea), Katie Downard (Robby), Brooke Miller (Nick), Leila Spataro, Jordan Greenley, Paul Sweitzer, Jr., Adan Sweitzer, Anaya Sweitzer and Alyssa Sweitzer; and his great grandchildren, Savannah Miller, Ivy Miller, Hyla Miller, Matthew Downard and Maverick Miller. He is also survived by 4 brothers, 5 sisters, numerous nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kassly-Meridith Funeral Home (515 Vandalia St, Collinsville, IL 62234).
