He was predeceased by: his parents, William Glenn and Verna Mabel Gentry (Kingery); and his siblings, Ralph Gentry, Dorothy Hannah, Carl Gentry, Donald Gentry, Bobby Gentry, Alene Gutmann, Shirley Easton Cisney and Paul Gentry.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Gentry; his children, David, Allison Hawk Gentry of Casey and Amy Gentry of Casey, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Jacob Lawrence, Jessica Hurd, Keightlyn Lawrence, Megan Gentry, Victoria Lawrence-Warner, Tia Hurlbert, Dylan Lawrence, Carita Hawk-Gentry, Shaylyn Hawk-Gentry and Dawson Hawk-Gentry; his great grandchildren, Brooklyn Warner, Kylah Hurd, Kai Warner, Luke Hurd and Jace Burford; his siblings, Virgil Gentry, Mildred "Millie" Stewart (Jim) and Linda Schrock (Mike); and his sisters-in-law, Pat Gentry and Barbara Gentry Dale.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Meyer Funeral Home – Bishop Chapel (115 E Lincoln Dr, Greenup, IL 62428).
