It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kraig Knippschild of Cary, Illinois, born in Inglewood, California, who passed away on November 8, 2021, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Knippschild and Junice; his father-in-law Clyde Sportsman; his grandparents, Otto, Blanche Knippschild, Harvey and Gladys Sundt; his brothers-in-law, Larry Warner and Richard Duchossois; and his nephews, Scott O'Reilly, Labrador and Buck.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Knippschild and Jessica Smith (Eric); his grandchildren, Rowan, Emmaliene and Lennon Smith; his close friend Barbara Knippschild; his siblings, Wendy Burns (Jeff), Michele Warner, Kevin Knippschild and Llyn Moon (Chris); his nieces and nephews, Nicole Beard (Michael), Courtney Andrews (Jared), Jared Knippschild (Adriana), Alexandra Lorbiecki (John), Kaylan Kipperman, Cody Warner, Thomas Burns (Michelle), Kelsey Krasowski (Marek), Travis Burns, Branden Warner, Leah Moon (Jared), Ryan Moon, Logan Warner, Andy Duchossois and Martin Duchossois; his sisters-in-law, Debra O'Reilly and Joan Wulff Fallon (Steve); his mother-in-law Lois Sportsman; his friends, Steve and Bonnie Kipperman; and his godchildren, Ryan, Katie and Carson Kipperman.
