She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Hettermann and Dorothy Hettermann (Herdrich); her husband Bob; her brothers, Bob Hettermann and Joe Hettermann; her brother-in-law Mike DeWolfe; and her nephew Bobby Hettermann.
She is survived by: her daughters, Holly Grosshans (Jon) and Heather Evans (Jimmy); her grandchildren, Seamus, Sloane Evans, Jack and Henry Grosshans; her siblings, Harry Hettermann (Kathy), Ed Hettermann (Lina) and Diane DeWolfe; her sister-in-law Pat Hettermann; her nephew Jason Hettermann; and her friend Maureen Gibbons. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, it would be appreciated if donations were made to the Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome Foundation, as two of Kate's grandchildren have been diagnosed with this rare condition.
